Tissue Culture Laboratories

The unique benefit of the ViVi method is that the plants are rooted ex vitro. This saves a step compared to the traditional tissue culture process. By using the ViTrays, rooting and hardening take place in the lab, in a multilayer setup. This saves time, space and labor in the greenhouse. The ViVi method guarantees a high rooting rate, less plant loss and various automation options.

The ViTray is the beating heart of the ViVi Method. This multifunctional tray contains sterile or clean soil plugs and is covered by our patented two layers of microperforated foil. The two layers of foil allow a different amount of O2 and CO2 gas exchange, while preserving sterile conditions. In this way, both rooting and hardening of the plant can take place in the same ViTray. This guarantees hardened quality young plant leaving the lab area. The ViTray also acts as a shipping box, guaranteeing sterile conditions and being able to ship the boxes all over the world.
